Job summary

Microserve in Victoria, BC is seeking an Asset Recovery Technician to join our technical services team. You will deploy and retire IT hardware at branch locations, with onsite training and a Monday–Friday day shift.

The role emphasizes data security, asset handling, and process improvements, with competitive pay and benefits. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting logistics, inventory, and client data management.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year warehouse experience, preferably in an enterprise/business IT environment.
  • Warehouse/shipping receiving and paperwork experience.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Pass a criminal record check (CPIC).

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and processing incoming warehouse inventory.
  • Moving skids into Asset Recovery, helping drivers load or unload trucks.
  • Wiping, destroying, and processing computer hard drives to protect client data.
  • Check and configure BIOS for wiping procedures.
  • Manage data flow between computers and attached devices.
  • Inventory management and client data reporting.
  • Aid in improving processes where possible or necessary.
  • Shipping (logistics and prepping product).
  • Update paperwork and tickets within internal systems.

Asset Recovery Technician

Location: Victoria, BC

Position Overview

Microserve is looking for an Asset Recovery Technician to join our technical services team in Victoria, BC. The Asset Recovery Technician is responsible for deploying and retiring IT hardware in our branch locations. We offer onsite training, competitive pay with benefits/vacation, and a Monday – Friday schedule with day shift hours.

Responsibilities
  • Organizing and processing incoming warehouse inventory
  • Moving skids into Asset Recovery, helping our drivers load or unload trucks (when needed)
  • Protecting client data by wiping, destroying, and processing computer hard drives
  • Check and configure BIOS: basic input/output systems for wiping procedures
  • Manges the data flow between the computers operating system and attached devices (Hard disk, video adapter, Keyboard and mouse)
  • Inventory management and Client data reporting
  • Aid in improving processes where possible or necessary
  • Shipping (logistics and prepping product)
  • Update paperwork and tickets within internal systems
Requirements
  • 1+year warehouse experience, preferably in an enterprise/business IT environment
  • Warehouse / Shipping receiving and paperwork experience
  • Organized and have the ability to multi-task
  • Good attention to detail
  • Basic computer user skills (Windows, Excel) are an asset
  • Experience with computer hardware is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting or individually
  • Ability to be accountable to your team and other departments
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check (CPIC)
Compensation

In accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act the range for this role for BC residents is $21-24 per hour. Please note the exact salary is determined based on a combination of your relevant experience, skill, competencies, and internal pay equity. At Microserve we believe that compensation conversations should always be ongoing.
