Job description

Opportunity Overview:
We are currently seeking an Asset Operational Excellence Specialist to support a major LNG project. Based in Calgary with periodic travel to Kitimat, BC, this role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement and operational readiness at one of Canada's most significant LNG facilities. This position will support both head office and field teams in delivering asset performance strategies that align with corporate standards and operational excellence goals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of asset management strategies and operational excellence programs for the LNG facility.
  • Work closely with site operations teams in Kitimat to ensure consistent application of reliability, maintenance, and asset integrity practices.
  • Contribute to readiness reviews and continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
  • Assist with the development of performance metrics, reporting tools, and business processes aligned with asset lifecycle management.
  • Act as a liaison between the Calgary corporate office and the LNG site to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in operational excellence, asset management, or reliability within oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial settings.
  • Prior experience supporting LNG or other large-scale energy infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry standards related to asset integrity, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across corporate and field teams.
  • Ability to travel regularly to site in Kitimat, BC as required.

  • This is not a safety-sensitive role, and no A&D testing is required.
