Asset Management Lead – Prairie Support
NAMS Canada | Remote (AB, SK, MB)
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 | Full time, 2.5-year contract | Start: Immediately

NAMS Canada is hiring an Asset Management Lead to support local governments in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba in advancing sustainable service delivery. This position focuses on building asset management capacity, guiding communities through asset management discussions and integrating climate adaptation strategies. NAMS Canada is committed to supporting 130 unique local governments over the period of 2.5 years.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct basic maturity assessments and co-develop improvement plans
  • Facilitate creation of State of Service Summaries (high-level, strategic communication tools)
  • Build awareness of CTHI (Canada’s Core Team for Housing Infrastructure) services
  • Mentor municipal staff on sustainable asset management
  • Lead regional engagement and capacity-building initiatives
  • Provide support to each community for at least one year
Qualifications
  • Background in municipal infrastructure, asset management or service delivery
  • Experience with local governments, First Nations or community organizations
  • Familiarity with risk assessment, data management and climate planning
  • Strong facilitation, communication and mentoring skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Education in engineering, planning, public admin or related field (degree or equivalent experience)
