Job summary

Canadian Natural Resources Limited is seeking a Pipeline Asset Integrity Technologist in Grande Prairie, AB. This role focuses on implementing inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management activities to ensure integrity programs are effective across pipelines.

You will work with Operations, Production, Engineering, Safety, and Management to deliver lifecycle integrity from design to decommissioning, including data management and regulatory engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in oil and gas, with exposure to asset integrity, pipeline, or pressure equipment operations preferred.
• Relevant technical degree, diploma, or engineering degree is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of pipeline and pressure equipment systems; API 510 and/or ABSA ISI certification viewed as a strong asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-management skills, with field operations experience in oil and gas.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and able to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments to ensure assets remain within safety, environmental, reliability, and economic risk thresholds.
• Collaborate with Asset Integrity, Operations, Production, Engineering, and Management to develop and implement integrity programs (corrosion control, inspection and monitoring, metallurgical upgrades, process improvements, detection systems).
• Analyze inspection data, failure investigations, risk assessments, and operating conditions to identify degradation mechanisms and implement mitigation and monitoring strategies.
• Manage corrosion monitoring, chemical inhibition, and cathodic protection programs for pipelines and facilities.
• Maintain and update equipment inventory databases and support integrity-related inspections, repairs, construction, optimization, and capital projects.
• Support long-term integrity planning, budgeting, vendor management, regulatory engagement, and Corporate Integrity Network meetings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pipeline Asset Integrity Technologist to join our growing Grande Prairie Asset Integrity team, implementing a wide variety of inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management activities ensuring that our Asset Integrity programs are executed with optimal effectiveness.

As part of the team, you will interface closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Safety groups, gaining exposure to all technical elements of Asset Integrity for pipelines. You will have the opportunity to deal with a wide variety of assets for the full life-cycle, from design and commissioning through to close-down, and decommissioning.

Key Accountabilities:

What You Bring to the Role:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with exposure to asset integrity, pipeline, or pressure equipment operations preferred
