Overview:
Pembina is seeking a Supervisor, Asset Integrity Projects for our Technical Services department located in Calgary, Alberta, reporting to the Manager, Asset Integrity Projects.
On behalf of Pembina’s Business Units, TSU manages a comprehensive integrity management program, which includes Facility Integrity, Pipeline Integrity, Geotechnical, Corrosion Control, Asset Management, Product Quality and Measurement, Geographical Information System, Integrity Project Execution, and Automation Services. TSU provides leading technical expertise that optimizes performance and minimizes operational and project risk.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
The successful candidate will coordinate and supervise a Project Engineering team.
- Accountable for overall project delivery for asset integrity projects including project development, scope definition, planning and scheduling, cost control, project execution, regulatory approvals and procurement;
- Promote Pembina’s values, safety policies and procedures with all parties to ensure projects are completed in a safe manner. Ensure no harm to people or the environment during the execution of the asset integrity projects, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Provide leadership and mentoring to a group of project managers and support staff focusing on the execution of asset Integrity projects and career development;
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities and provide innovative thinking in project development and execution;
- Manage resource workloads and goal setting;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, engineering, construction practices, and project control systems as they relate to asset integrity projects;
- Strong focus on building relationships and collaborating with Business Partners and project stakeholders;
- Maintaining appropriate cost control and schedule to ensure successful project management and forecasting are in place;
- Working with the Manager, Asset Integrity Projects to clearly establish project management processes, templates, and execution strategies for the project engineering team;
- Proactively promote communication and alignment with other groups within TSU;

Qualifications:
- The preferred candidate will have at least 10 years of project engineering and Team Leadership experience;
- Technical diploma or Professional Engineering designation;
- Experience executing asset integrity projects would be considered an asset; including, executing complex geotechnical and hydrotechnical pipeline mitigation projects (HDDs, open cuts, slope stabilization);
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination between conceptual design; detailed engineering, field execution and commissioning;
- Must be highly analytical, possess strong technical and good business acumen and have excellent communication skills, particularly as it relates to directing project teams, directing operations, identifying and solving issues and developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships;
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant codes, regulatory bodies, and requirements to complete asset integrity projects in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the US;
- Knowledgeable in pipeline construction practice, pipeline design, operations, and maintenance;
- Beneficial experience with various SAP applications and solid computer literacy; and
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license, with a clean drivers abstract.
