Job summary

Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Fort McMurray is seeking a Supervisor, Assessment to support the Manager of Assessment in compiling, analysing, evaluating, and preparing reports for the Assessment Standards Branch.

You will lead a team, mentor staff, implement strategies, ensure compliance with provincial guidelines, and provide guidance on assessment policies to the public. The starting salary ranges from $129,438 to $136,834 CAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Real Property Assessment is required.
• AMA Alberta (A.M.A.A.) designation is mandatory.
• Seven years of experience supporting projects with senior assessment experience is preferred.
• Experience in a public sector environment with unions is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager of Assessment in compiling, analysing, and preparing reports.
• Supervise assigned team, balance workload, and mentor staff.
• Provide guidance on assessment policies and procedures to the public and staff.
• Develop and implement department strategies and tools in line with provincial guidelines.
