Job summary

Hillmar Industries Ltd. in Tilbury Industrial Park is seeking an Assembly Technician Level 2 to assemble hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components, following blueprints and procedures.

You will operate pneumatic tools, perform quality checks, update schedules, and assist junior technicians while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic assembly or metal fabrication.
• Reading blueprints and assembly instructions.
• Strong math for measurements and calculations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and schedule updates.
• Familiarity with pneumatic tools is an asset.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components per blueprints, drawings, and procedures.
• Operate pneumatic tools and machines for assembly tasks.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Update job schedules and manufacturing status using computer systems.
• Conduct final assembly testing and troubleshoot issues to meet quality standards.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspace and follow safety protocols.
• Mentor and assist junior assembly technicians.
