Vaderstad Industries Inc (VII) is seeking an Assembly Technician in Canada’s Saskatchewan region. The role involves assembling toolbars and tanks, using hand and power tools, and ensuring proper fit and alignment. A Grade 12 education is required with factory experience viewed as an asset.

The ideal candidate exhibits mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and strong teamwork, while upholding safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required; factory experience is an asset.
• Assembly/manufacturing background preferred to support tooling and workflows.
• Ability to read instructions and follow procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and install fabricated parts to form a finished product using hand and power tools.
• Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly; connect cables, tubes and wires.
• Fasten parts using bolting and riveting equipment or other joining methods.
• Safely operate PME equipment, including lift trucks and cranes as trained.
• Understand assembly components of toolbars or tanks and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and adhere to attendance policies.

Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician works to assemble different components for the toolbars or tanks in an efficient and effective manner.

Education/Experience: Grade 12 Assembly/Factory experience an asset

Accountabilities

• Assemble, fit and install fabricated and prefabricated parts to form a finished product using hand and power tools
• Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly and connect cables, tubes and wires
• Fasten parts together using bolting and riveting equipment or other fastening and joining techniques
• Safe operation of PME, including lift trucks and cranes
• Understand the component of assembling the toolbar or tank
• Work productively as directed
• Ability to work overtime at peak times of the year is required
• Ensure a clean working area
• Compliance with established policies and procedures for acceptable attendance, safety and quality standards

Work Conditions

• Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
• Working in manufacturing plant environment.
• Some exposure to potentially hazardous environments requiring protective equipment
• Employee may be exposed to dust, odors, fumes and high levels of noise at times
• Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
• Exposure to temperature fluctuations
