Crown is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Fabrication Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and testing procedures of radio communication racks, as well as preparing various rack configurations for shipment to clients. You will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure project accuracy and timely delivery schedules.
The Technician's responsibilities encompass both mechanical hardware assembly and electrical/electronic assembly. This position also requires handling movement and storage of materials, including repetitive heavy lifting. Your work will be reviewed for technical adequacy and conformity with instructions.
Typical Duties Include:
• Wire stripping and terminating.
• Routing cables on a harness.
• Assembling parts using power tools and hand tools.
• Creating radio communication racks.
• Responsible for all major subassemblies required to manufacture radio racks. This includes:
• Roof panels
• RF body
• Data and audio cables to Telco block
• Telco pullout trays
• Computer shelf
• RF cables
• DC harness
• Data harness
• Grounding
• Assembly processes:
• Rack preparation
• Installing all subassemblies into racks
• Testing procedures
• Rack final inspections and documents
• Other types of duties:
• Assisting with shipping & receiving racks.
• Performing quality control checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• At least one (1) year of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Understanding of minor electrical circuits.
• Ability to read assembly diagrams and wire diagrams.
• Proficiency with various tools including:
• Power tools (Drills and Heat Guns)
• Hand tools (Screwdrivers, Wrenches, Punch tool, Cable/Wire cutters, etc)
• Crimpers (Hand or Electric)
• Ability to test wire assemblies using supplied documentation and continuity verification using proper test equipment (Multimeters, Insulation meter, Anritsu, etc.)
• Ability to transport racks weighing 300+ lbs and lift 75 lbs of equipment.
• Ability to pass a drug and criminal background check.
• Must be self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and attention to detail.
• As a contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), all applicants must be US .

Pay rate is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (10-hour shift)
