Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, is seeking anAssembler to contribute to documentation, assembly, electrical test and inspection.

Responsibilities include cleaning parts, mounting with epoxy and solder, assembling sub-assemblies, fiber optic attachment, data entry in SAP, and supporting the Team Leader in training. The role requires a High School Diploma, manufacturing experience, ability to work independently and in a team, good organization, and English/French bilingual

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Experience with data entry is an asset.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare parts using simple chemical cleaning procedures.
• Mount product with epoxy and solder.
• Mount hybrid sub-assemblies with epoxy and solder.
• Hand mark devices and test components and assemblies.
• Perform sub-assembly fabrication for final product.
• Assist Team Leader in training new employees.

The Assembler position consists of documentation, assembly, electrical test, machine test and inspection. Each assembler may be required to work on any single phase of operations at a given time.

Your responsibilities:

• Cleaning and preparation of parts by simple chemical cleaning procedures;
• Mounting of product with epoxy and solder;
• Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder;
• Hand marking of devices;
• Test components and assemblies once finished;
• Sub-assembly fabrication to be used on final product;
• Fibre optic attachment;
• The assembler may need to use the SAP system to make certain transactions;
• The assembler may assist the Team Leader in the training of new employees;
• Performing other related duties as required.
• Possess a High School Diploma;
• Have experience in a manufacturing environment;
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Have good organizational skills;
• Experience with computer data entry (an asset);
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity;
• Bilingualism (French and English) an asset;
