Assembler to join our Contract Manufacturing Department in Chilliwack, BC.

- Our Assembler positions have a wage range of $20 to $32 per hour based on years’ experience and an assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.

The Assembler is responsible for working in a manufacturing environment with a team of assemblers, insulators and other professional trades, assembling large and small components on a variety of projects
Essential Functions For This Role Are
- Performs tasks involving physical labor and operate hand and power tools and wrenching and tightening bolts.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform general tasks as required in a manufacturing environment.
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
Experience, Qualifications, And Skills Required
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with supervisors and team members
- Ability to use a tape measure and a ladder
- Ability to use a torque wrench, impacts, and grinders
- Be mechanically inclined
- 6 months – 1 years’ experience in a heavy industrial setting or previous experience doing assembly in manufacturing environment.
- Some experience working with power tools
- Experience using overhead cranes
