Job summary

Employment Professionals Canada in Niagara Region, St. Catharines is seeking a hands-on assembler to join our in-person manufacturing team. You will assemble heating and industrial equipment, use a range of hand and power tools, and ensure quality and safety at every step.

Working Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you will contribute to meeting production schedules while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. A criminal background check is required for consideration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing is an asset.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic electrical or wiring experience is an asset.
  • Criminal background check required.

  • Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.

  • Install, fasten, and connect components, hoses, and fittings.

Job description

Job Duties
  • Assemble heating and industrial equipment according to instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks
  • Perform basic electrical wiring and connections as required
  • Install, fasten, and connect components, parts, hoses, fittings, and other equipment
  • Operate various production machinery and equipment
  • Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and position materials as required
  • Inspect assembled components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and identify issues during the assembly process
  • Move raw materials, components, equipment, and finished products throughout the facility
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning heavy materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Work closely with other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Perform other general manufacturing and assembly duties as required
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, construction, mechanical, or a similar hands-on environment is an asset
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
  • Basic electrical or wiring experience is an asset
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced production environment is an asset
  • Successful candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check

Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting

Ability to handle and move heavy materials and equipment

Repetitive hand and arm movements may be required

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Schedule & Pay

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM $19.50/hr Criminal background check required
