Job summary

Insight Global in Burlington, ON is seeking multiple Fabricators/Assemblers to join an elevator manufacturing team. You will fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components following blueprints and quality standards.

The role requires at least two years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and hands-on use of hand and power tools. Training will be provided, and afternoon shifts are required after the initial period.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly-line fabrication and assembly work.

• Complete light welding, tack welding, and spot welding as required.
• Glue, fasten, bolt, and fit parts together to complete assemblies.
• Operate hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, ratchets, and wrenches.
• Grind, sand, and finish metal components to meet quality requirements.
• Inspect completed parts for proper fit, alignment, and overall quality.
• Follow established safety procedures and production standards.
• Record production information using computerized systems when required.

• Experience using measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, or gauges.
• Trade school education or certification in welding or metal fabrication.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a noisy production environment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety footwear, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
