Paladin Security is excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in security. We are currently seeking motivated and ambitious candidates who do not have a current valid BC Security License. This position is designed to provide required training and certifications to individuals who are not yet licensed, but are eager to enter the security industry.

We will work with you to receive your training directly from the JIBC with our education reimbursement program.

We are currently looking for motivated teammates to join our various locations in hospitals, government buildings, post-secondary campuses, shopping centers, office towers, warehouses, and more!

Responsibilities

• Colleges and Universities: Our Officers at these facilities conduct regular foot patrols, monitor CCTV cameras, provide first aid, manage lost & found, write detailed incident reports, and more!
• Hospitals and Health Clinics: Our Officers respond to alarms and emergency requests, while utilizing de-escalation skills to ensure the safety of healthcare workers and visitors.
• Mobile Division: Our Mobile officers respond swiftly to alarms, report security breaches and property damage, and support our Operations Centre Team in emergencies.
• Government Buildings: Our Officers conduct patrols, monitor property entrances, authorize access, secure exits, and respond to alarms.
• Shopping Centres: Our Officers perform investigations, incident reports, patrols, interact with tenants and the public, respond to emergencies, lead incident responses involving violence, conduct arrests, enforce rules, and remove vagrants.
• Office Towers: Responsibilities include monitoring access, surveillance, reporting unusual activities, and maintaining security protocols.

You're a Great Fit If You Have

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); ability to write detailed incident reports
• Experience in customer service or volunteering in similar environments
• Confidence in interacting with team members, clients, the public, and emergency services
• A passion for activity, capable of patrolling indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including stairwells, uneven surfaces, and parking areas
• Physical ability to stand and patrol for most of a shift
• Confidence in emergency response, including dealing with trauma, aggression, intoxication, and bodily fluids
• A keen eye for irregularities such as breaches, hazards, and emergencies
• Basic technology skills for report writing, tracking, and communication

Many sites are transit accessible; own vehicle and Class 5 BC Driver's License are assets. Additional certifications like OFA2 are also assets.

Pay Rate: $18/hr - $22/hr starting, depending on site or program.
