Lafarge Construction provides Construction services in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Lafarge Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking a seasonal, full-time Rakerperson.

Responsibilities:

• Rake asphalt to maintain drainage and preserve esthetics of asphalt mat.
• Minor truck and equipment maintenance.
• Fix imperfections in the asphalt mat.
• Clean up sites.
• Shoveling, raking, sweeping and other labour duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Experience in checking grades an asset.
• Attention to detail an asset.
• Knowledge of Construction an asset.
• Ability to operate other Paving equipment is an asset.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be expected to exercise sound judgment, work safely and communicate effectively in a team. This position is physically demanding and requires crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling. As such, clearance on a pre-employment medical is required. The successful candidate will have a proven record of following safe work procedures and be able to complete field risk assessments.
