Your main responsibilities

  • Asphalt laboratory testing to match current NSPW requirements – Marshall Method and Superpave Method, in both a central lab and mobile lab environment;
  • Familiar with current NSPW End-Product-Specification Asphalt specifications and familiarity with asphalt mix properties to propose mix changes or adjustments as needed;
  • Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing and/or holding;
  • Communicate results effectively with client and Englobe supervisor;
  • Maintain proper record of field test results for review and subsequent submissions; and,
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

What makes you unique

  • Technical degree or diploma in civil engineering (or equivalent) considered an asset;
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar engineering field;
  • CCIL Asphalt Technician Certification;
  • Team-oriented and an excellent communicator;
  • Valid driver's license; and,
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Nova Scotia on a required basis.
