Job summary

Calgary Scope Society is seeking a Relief Disability Support Worker with ASL knowledge or willingness to learn. You will support adults with developmental disabilities who are Deaf or Deafblind and may have mental health, social, emotional, or behavioral needs.

Responsibilities include promoting goals, assisting with daily activities, health support, coordinating with teams, and fostering meaningful relationships. Flexible evening, weekend, overnight, and day shifts are available.

Qualifications

• ASL knowledge or willingness to learn ASL.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with others.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote individual goals and aspirations.
• Support daily activities (volunteer, employment, leisure).
• Provide mental health and behavioral support.
• Support health maintenance (appointments, medication liaison).
• Assist with home maintenance and daily routines (meal prep, cleaning, laundry).
• Foster meaningful relationships and promote empowerment.
