Job summary

Ciena Corporation in Ottawa is seeking an ASIC Methodology and Automation Engineer to develop and maintain software for ASIC workflows using Java, Rust, Python, and Make on Linux. Create command-line applications and web services to support ASIC development workflows, and write Bash scripts to automate tasks.

Collaborate with cross-functional ASIC development teams, use Git and Bitbucket, and contribute to testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of ASIC development experience is expected.
• Proficiency in Java and Python with OO design principles.
• Strong Linux, Bash scripting, and CI/CD tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for ASIC workflows on Linux.

Nice to Haves * Experience with Bitbucket for source code collaboration.* Exposure to emerging technologies and trends shaping ASIC Development automation.#LI-BS1 Pay Range The annual pay range for this position is C $109000 - 174000Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
