Job description

Harrison Art Services has been operating in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area for over 20 years. Our fine art services include; restoration & conservation, custom framing, professional on-site installation, transportation, art storage, removal of art damaged by fire & flood.

We are seeking a personable, reliable, and skilled person to join our artwork installation team! As an installer, you are required to perform frequent lifting, regularly climb ladders, and interact with clients. Ability to multi-task and work quickly is a must. 32-40 hours per week / Immediate start preferred.

Responsibilities:

Hanging of artwork on drywall, brick, concrete, and wood (drilling, hanging J-Bar, wall plugs)
Packing artwork for travel/storage
Consulting with designers and clients on-site
Recording keeping and artwork documentation
Occasional in-studio workdays required

Qualifications:

Excellent visual and manual skills with knowledge of tools
Strong familiarity with imperial system
Ability to measure accurately with a good sense of spacing
Fluent in English, spoken and written
Capable of lifting 40kg on a frequent basis
Experience with packing delicate items and/or home décor installation/construction
Confident on a ladder
Valid BC drivers license with good driving record
Good working knowledge of Greater Vancouver area
Confident driving a full-sized van

Additional Qualifications:
Art handling or gallery installation experience preferred
