The Arts and Culture Coordinator plays a key role in the strategic planning and implementation of arts and culture related programming. The Arts and Culture Coordinator will work within a team that is dedicated to facilitating growth, and creating the most sustainable arts and cultural future for the Saint John community.
The Arts and Culture Coordinator is essential in building creative synergies between the City’s broader arts and culture programming and Common Council’s priorities, the municipal plan, long-term financial planning and ongoing economic development efforts by:
The portfolio will be expected to support a variety of projects, initiatives and assignments linked to community services within the City of Saint John including:
Research and analysis is a key facet of this role, and will require support in the development of qualitative and quantitative reports, briefings. The portfolio will require presentations to a variety of audiences, including, but not limited to: Common Council, Growth Committee, Saint John Community Arts Board and Civic Commemoration Committee.
This role will require work beyond core business hours in accordance with the terms of the collective agreement.
