Job summary

Scooped by Demetres is seeking an Artisan for our new Scooped by Demetres STC location in Scarborough Town Centre. This part-time role focuses on greeting guests, explaining our craft ice creams, and scooping and serving delicious ice cream.

You will also do light food prep in the kitchen/cafe and work afternoon, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. We recruit for attitude and personality to maintain a high-energy team.

Qualifications

• Able to work quickly and efficiently while multitasking.
• Able to learn quickly, follow directions, maintain a clean station, and be organized.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Able to clearly & kindly communicate with guests and colleagues.

Our people are the best part about Demetres and we're looking for the right people to carry the tradition of excellence forward to our brand new ice cream shop: Scooped by Demetres. With this store, we’re focusing exclusively on the craft ice creams we’ve been pioneering for 35+ years.

At Scooped by Demetres, we don't recruit for roles, we recruit for attitude and personality. As an Artisan, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting our guests; explaining our ice cream flavours; and scooping and serving delicious ice cream. There will also be a little food prep/production in the kitchen/cafe.

This is a part-time position, requiring shifts during afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays.
