Job summary

10 Percent Recruiting Ltd. is partnering with a client building an enterprise AI Factory to transform Retail Banking. We seek an AI Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI-powered applications, agents, and intelligent workflows in a hybrid Edmonton/Calgary setting.

You will collaborate with an AI Architect and Data Engineer, using Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services to bring AI use cases from concept to production on a 1-year contract.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI solutions in production environments.
• Experience integrating AI platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.

Position Overview

Our client is building an enterprise AI Factory to reimagine Retail Banking through the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence. This initiative is focused on transforming customer experiences, employee productivity, banking operations, and service delivery through practical AI solutions.

As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications, agents, assistants, and intelligent workflows. Working alongside an AI Architect and Data Engineer, you will help bring AI use cases from concept to production using technologies including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Claude, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.

This role is ideal for individuals who have hands-on experience building AI solutions in enterprise environments and are excited by the opportunity to shape the future of Retail Banking.

What You’ll Do:

Design and Deliver AI Solutions

• Design, build, test, and deploy enterprise AI solutions that support Retail Banking transformation.
• Develop AI-powered applications, copilots, agents, and intelligent assistants using Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Azure OpenAI, and related technologies.
• Translate business opportunities into practical AI-enabled solutions that create measurable value.
• Deliver scalable and reusable AI components that can be leveraged across multiple business functions.
• Develop AI solutions that enhance customer experiences across digital, branch, mobile, and contact centre channels.
• Support AI-enabled customer onboarding, servicing, lending, payments, and relationship management processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve employee productivity and operational efficiency through AI adoption.
• Work with business stakeholders to redesign banking processes using intelligent automation and AI-powered decision support.

AI Agent Development

• Design and implement AI agents capable of retrieving information, performing tasks, and supporting business processes.
• Build solutions that combine generative AI capabilities with enterprise systems, knowledge repositories, and business workflows.
• Develop agentic experiences that improve both customer and employee interactions.

Copilot and Claude Enablement

• Develop and support solutions leveraging Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio.
• Build integrations and applications utilizing Claude and other large language model platforms.
• Evaluate and optimize model performance, prompts, workflows, and user experiences.
• Support a multi-model AI environment and determine the most appropriate technology for each use case.

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) & Knowledge Solutions

• Develop knowledge-grounded AI solutions using enterprise content and data sources.
• Partner with the Data Engineer to support vector search, semantic search, and enterprise knowledge repositories.
• Improve the quality, accuracy, and reliability of AI-generated responses.

Responsible AI & Governance

• Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in AI testing, evaluation, monitoring, and governance activities.
• Implement responsible AI practices and controls within all solutions.

Mandatories:
