Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • B.Sc in a related discipline with at least 5 years’ post-Bachelor related work experience.
  • Alternate combinations of related education, certification, and work experience may be considered.

  • Deliver courses congruent with established curricula and program outcomes.
  • Support student success across diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

The School of Trades and Technology is seeking a Sessional Instructor to teach in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics diploma. The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role as we expand our course and program offerings in Computer Science and Information Technology. Responsibilities of Full-Time Faculty at the School of Trades and Technology include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering courses congruent with established course curricula and program outcomes
  • Supporting the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles
  • Assessing student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards
  • Inspiring students by exhibiting enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and subject material
  • Contributing to course and program curriculum development and renewal
  • Engaging in scholarly activity within the domains of Ernest Boyer’s model: scholarship of discovery, application, integration, and teaching
  • Working collegially within department, School, or Institution committees and project teams

Note that alternate combinations of related education, certification, and work experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a related discipline
  • Post-secondary teaching experience
  • Able to instruct courses dealing with machine-learning algorithms, model optimization, and Python. Additionally, a preference to someone able to teach Networking such as: Azure cloud, software-defined networking and Windows and Linux server admin.
Salary or Hourly?

Salary Commensurate with education and teaching experience at the post-secondary level
