KPA Lawyers Professional Corporation in Sault Ste. Marie is seeking an Articling Student to gain hands-on experience in a supportive legal environment. You will work with lawyers and staff on client matters, research, document review, and active files.

The role offers exposure to real estate and wills and estates, requires strong organizational skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity with potential for growth within our team.

Qualifications

• LL.B or J.D from a Canadian law school or completed NCA certificate.
• Experience with legal management software preferred: Teraview, Unity, PC Law, Clio, etc.
• Attention to detail, ethical conduct, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Respond to inquiries via walk-ins, phone, email or written correspondence.
• Complete file and client intakes and conduct legal research and analysis.
• Input file information into real estate and wills and estates programs.
• Process interim purchase files and assist with final Report Schedule.
• Confirm appointments, attend client meetings and collaborate with lawyers and staff.
• Review and summarize legal documents and provide basic administrative support.
