Job description

The School of Arts and Education at Red Deer Polytechnic is committed to fostering a vibrant and creative atmosphere within our community and actively seeks faculty who will contribute to the intellectual, artistic, and community-building initiatives of the school and the wider Red Deer region.

They will demonstrate a strong proficiency in and sensitivity to a wide range of material choices, methods, techniques, technologies, and tools relevant to contemporary and historical painting practices while honouring the foundations of visual art. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about engaging with the campus community and contributing to the cultural vitality of Red Deer.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and ability to teach introductory and intermediate painting, and experience in one or more of the following areas would be an asset:

  • Art History
  • Contemporary and traditional two-dimensional media including computer-aided creation
  • Visual fundamentals (2D or 3D)
