Job summary

Electro Cables in Trenton, Ontario is seeking experienced Armouring Machine Operators to set up, operate, and monitor armouring machines. The role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Previous machine-operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
• Previous experience with armouring equipment or wire and cable manufacturing is considered an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery.
• Ability to multitask, remain organized, and respond to changing production requirements.
• Knowledge of measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers, is an asset.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor armouring machines and related manufacturing equipment.
• Manage multiple tasks and machine requirements in a fast-paced production environment.
• Monitor equipment and operating conditions throughout the production process.
• Perform product and material changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Produce wire and cable products according to manufacturing instructions and specifications.
• Monitor product quality and make adjustments within established operating procedures.
• Identify equipment or quality concerns and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Perform measurements using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Complete production documentation and reporting accurately.
• Move, handle, and organize production materials as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Support continuous improvement and production-efficiency initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements.
