Area Supply Attendant (Casual)

Under the direction of the Stores Supervisor or the Logistics Coordinator, this position is responsible for stock maintenance, distribution, and data recording functions.
What you'll do
- Count, record, and enter the status of departmental medical/surgical supplies using computer systems or handheld devices.
- Perform return functions according to established procedures.
- Deliver and restock medical/surgical supplies to departments following established quotas.
- Complete routine records and documentation for supplies received and delivered.
- Enter requisitions into the computer system as needed.
- Clean carts, shelves, and rotate stock in stores and assigned areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized storeroom.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and data entry.
- Assist with inventories and cycle counts as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring
Qualifications
- Grade 10 plus six months of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of Indigenous-specific mandates, cultural safety, and humility, with a commitment to anti-racism and equity in healthcare.
- Understanding of the impacts of settler colonialism and systemic racism on Indigenous Peoples and health disparities.
- Familiarity with legislative obligations and provincial commitments related to Indigenous rights and anti-racism policies.
Core Competencies
- Understanding of Indigenous-specific and systemic racism, with initiatives to promote a safe and inclusive environment.
- Awareness of social, economic, and political realities affecting Indigenous Peoples and health equity.
Skills & Knowledge
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organize work and operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform duties.
- Commitment to ongoing learning about Indigenous issues and anti-racism.

- Wage: $24.34/hour + 13% in lieu
- Location: Surrey Memorial Hospital
