Overview

The Nexus Water Group team seeks a skilled Area Supervisor (Water Treatment Level 3). This role supervises all operations for Multi-Utility services within the designated area, overseeing maintenance activities via Lucity, monitoring system performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Work Location and Schedule

Located in Kamloops, BC. Some travel required, including visits to plants and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, maintain, and monitor Multi-Utility systems for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Evaluate system performance, perform investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance using CMMS.
• Lead, train, and evaluate staff; foster a safe work environment.
• Develop safety documentation and conduct site hazard assessments.
• Monitor equipment and systems on-site and via remote systems.
• Coordinate with operators and contractors for maintenance activities.
• Identify issues, report, and take corrective actions to prevent failures.
• Participate in emergency response when needed.
• Assist with budget management, forecasting, and inventory control.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years in utility operations (water, wastewater, district energy).
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

Education, Certification, and Licenses

• EOCP Water Operator 3 and/or Wastewater Operator 3 (asset).
• Valid driver’s license; provide driver’s abstract.

Skills and Abilities

• Valid driver’s license.
• Confined Space Awareness, First Aid Level I.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong advisory and supervisory skills.
