Overview

Join Interpro Pipe & Steel's Red Deer team as an Area Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations and contribute to quality and innovation through close collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and safety personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Drive results by optimizing operations to increase productivity and improve Yield and First Pass Yield
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality programs
  • Plan, align, and direct daily production activities to meet daily production requirements and align with the monthly shipping plan
  • Prioritize safety and conduct due diligence to protect employees
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Collaborate with operators and stakeholders to solve problems effectively
  • Provide or arrange training for employees to meet job standards
  • Support all company and regulatory requirements
  • Report mechanical/electrical concerns promptly and contribute to failure analysis
  • Engage employees in continuous improvement to identify and eliminate waste
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field; engineering degree preferred, or combined education and equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years’ industrial operations experience; experience in operating steel/pipe facilities preferred
  • Previous experience leading a team and overseeing work preferred
  • Demonstrated business operations and process improvement experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
