The Area Sales Director is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing regional sales team to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and enhance customer engagement within the aesthetics industry. This role requires fluency in both French and English to effectively support clients and team members across bilingual markets. The Director will develop and execute strategic sales plans, provide coaching and mentorship to team members, and foster a results-driven, collaborative culture. A key focus of this role is ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, clinics, and aesthetic professionals. Leveraging deep industry knowledge and leadership expertise, the Area Sales Director plays a vital role in expanding brand presence and achieving long-term business success across the region.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing field associates to exceed revenue targets and deliver consistent performance across the region.
- Strategic Account Planning & Execution: Shaping and executing strategic plans that drive share penetration, brand adoption, and competitive positioning. Cultivating relationships with top customers and C-suite consolidators, key accounts, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivering exceptional value. Monitoring market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to inform strategic accounts and regional strategy, seeking opportunities for expansion.
- Performance Management: Tracking KPIs and performance metrics across the region, driving accountability and course correction where needed. Ensuring optimal use of CRM tools, data insights, and sales resources to support field execution and business planning.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborating with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive aligned go-to-market initiatives.
- Business Development: Identifying and activating new business opportunities within the region, leveraging both direct and channel partners.
- Reporting & Insights: Delivering clear, actionable updates to senior leadership on regional performance, pipeline health, and strategic risks or opportunities.
- Business Hygiene: Ensuring full compliance with all business hygiene activities including expense reporting, entering calls in Merz CRM System, online module training, call recording, and sample reporting and management for themselves and their team.
- Related Functions and Collaboration: Performing related functions and responsibilities, including working cross-functionally with designated counterparts from other Merz divisions.
- Travel: Frequent travel required across the assigned region.
