Heidelberg Materials has a current job opening for an Area Operations Manager out of our Ottawa, Ontario Office.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and support operational performance across multiple sites in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.
  • Oversee production activities, maintenance programs, and heavy equipment management to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
  • Champion safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production and logistics.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics to achieve business goals.
  • Build and sustain a culture of accountability, engagement, and development.

What Are We Looking For

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/French) to support operations across provinces.
  • Demonstrated leadership in operations or industrial environments.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to lead change and drive performance in a dynamic setting.
  • Familiarity with regional regulations and industry best practices.
  • Travel within Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec locations required.
