Area Maintenance Manager - Campus One | Parkside

Department: Property Maintenance

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Parkside Student Residence - Toronto, ON

Reporting To: Director of Property Management

Description

We are seeking an Area Maintenance Manager responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance staff and outside vendors engaged in maintaining and repairing CCC buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment. The role involves supervising, coordinating, and controlling maintenance and repair costs to ensure high-quality service, safety standards, and operational profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct maintenance staff
  • Ensure proper maintenance of facilities and grounds according to CCC and property objectives
  • Assist in developing and supervising inspection programs for all public areas and resident apartments
  • Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs, including staff training
  • Review and implement monthly property facility plan reports
  • Manage facility data and documentation on the intranet site
  • Enforce standard operating procedures for maintenance, safety, and security systems
  • Identify and recommend facilities capital improvements
  • Support capital improvement projects as needed
  • Participate in monthly facilities conference calls
  • Assist with annual turnover planning and execution
  • Support procurement activities including vendor qualification and product specifications
  • Ensure proper staffing, training, and readiness of the maintenance department
  • Assist in staff recruitment, training, and performance monitoring
  • Travel as required to support property operations
