Qualifications

  • Führungserfahrung und P&L Verständnis erforderlich.

Position Overview

The Area Business Manager - Hardscapes reports directly to the Area Manager. In partnership with the Area Manager, this role drives performance and growth for all stakeholders in the assigned area through world-class store sales and operations, as well as effective interaction with suppliers, outside sellers, and customers. The manager champions best practices within the region and participates in company-wide initiatives to achieve customer value excellence and exceed overall performance expectations.

What you'll do:

  • Build a great team by creating a positive, challenging, and exciting environment conducive to high performance, teamwork, and long-term retention of top talent. Recruit, train, and develop top talent in key positions, actively coach and mentor to achieve high performance and facilitate career development, and ensure strong teamwork within and across stores.
  • Deliver customer value by setting high expectations, ensuring best-practice structures and processes are executed, training team members on customer value, spending time with customers to gather feedback, and measuring customer satisfaction to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Achieve performance, growth, and safety results by fostering an incident-free environment, executing strategic initiatives to drive sales and profit growth, setting and monitoring operational goals, and holding managers accountable.
  • Drive continuous improvement as a lead change agent, encouraging innovation, facilitating idea sharing, utilizing regional resources, supporting technology implementation, and maintaining awareness of local market dynamics.
  • Build business acumen by understanding operational and financial reports, developing market insights, coaching managers, and staying current with industry best practices.
  • Develop winning strategies with the Area Manager, translating them into actionable plans, tracking progress with performance metrics, and aligning talent to business goals.

Estimated starting salary:

  • $137,000 - $200,000+

Skills We Are Seeking

  • 4-7+ years of experience in the hardscape, natural stone, or building materials industry
  • 4+ years of managerial experience
  • 2+ years of P&L experience and understanding of financial fundamentals
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management
  • Degree in Business/Management or equivalent experience preferred; high school diploma required
