Team & Job Overview

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group, led by the CIO and established in 2023, aims to empower customers and colleagues with secure, reliable digital experiences. Our objectives include defining and executing the technology vision for EDC’s 2030 transformation, managing a 3-year Digital Roadmap, staying current with industry trends, and leading digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives to enhance experiences.

We seek a results-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, strategic, and influencing skills to translate business needs into industry-standard, enterprise-aligned technology solutions. This role reports to the Chapter Lead (Director) of Architecture Owners.

The ideal candidate will have broad technical expertise across data, application, and technology architecture domains, including cloud migration, data management, enterprise architecture, APIs, DevOps, and more. Architects will be key stakeholders in realizing EDC’s digital business strategies.

Role Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to guide technology choices
• Oversee implementation and operationalization of solutions
• Diagnose complex problems and facilitate solutions
• Promote adherence to EDC architecture and cybersecurity principles
• Communicate technology impacts on business processes and data
• Design overall technological architecture
• Partner with Tech Leads to ensure quality and standards
• Identify and resolve architecture gaps, supporting solution development
• Mentor teams on architecture disciplines and best practices

Screening Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in IT solutions delivery or as a Solution Architect
• Deep understanding of modern ecosystem concepts : microservices, APIs, cloud, streaming, DevOps
• Experience with Agile delivery and solution architecture
• Analytical problem-solving skills
• Extensive technical knowledge and design practices
• Experience managing technical priorities in backlogs

Assets

• Experience with Well Architected Framework
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
• Bilingual in English and French

Compensation

• Salary range : $94,664 to $126,218 annually, plus performance incentives

Location

• Hybrid work environment; roles based in Ottawa, Toronto, Mississauga, Vancouver, Halifax, Calgary, Montreal, Laval, or Brossard
