TalentSphere is working with an established mid-sized Revit-based architecture firm specialized in private sector light-industrial (distribution centers and warehouses) and commercial (grocery chains, car dealerships) projects. The firm undertakes projects across Canada with top-tier clients including Amazon and Costco. They support ongoing professional development and promote from within.

Summary of Position:

Our client seeks an experienced Revit Architectural Technologist focused on producing working and construction drawings. You will collaborate with a team of seasoned architects, project managers, BIM specialists, and technologists. Experience with mid to large-sized projects (100k-1m SQFT) involving high coordination is essential. Some projects have longer durations and involve e-commerce technology and equipment. The ideal candidate has a car, aims to develop contract administration skills, and enjoys site visits.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with architects, technologists, and team members to produce high-quality Revit drawings including plans, elevations, and sections.
  2. Coordinate with MEP and other consultants to develop functional and aesthetic designs on time and within budget.
  3. Handle permits, re-zoning, material substitutions; adapt to project needs; troubleshoot issues; manage RFIs, addendums, and shop drawings.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  5. Communicate proactively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure support and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an architectural technologist diploma from an accredited institution.
  2. Minimum of 4 years in production of construction and working drawings; at least 2 years of full-time Revit experience.
  3. Revit portfolio demonstrating work on complex warehouses, distribution centers, or large-scale commercial projects.
  4. Knowledge of Ontario building codes, zoning, and industry standards; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  6. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
