The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise and creativity to support our architectural projects. They will also be caring, curious, creative, and collaborative with technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in architectural design.Key Responsibilities:• Assist in the development of architectural designs and drawings.• Collaborate with the team on various projects, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to building codes.• Production of design documentation and graphics at all phases of a project.• Construction phase support services and contract administration.• Contribute to investigation and reporting on buildings and sites.• Participate in client meetings and provide technical support throughout project stages.Qualifications:• Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology.• 5-9 years of relevant post-graduate experience is seen as highly desirable.• Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, MS Suite, Adobe Suite, MS Project).• Proficiency in building technical detailing and building science, and engineering, building science and construction principles and practices.• Strong understanding of building codes and construction methods.• Familiarity with municipal zoning requirements.• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.What We Offer:• A comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.• Competitive base salary of $65,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience, plus a variable alternative compensation component as well as paid vacation.• Group RSP Savings Program, personalized contributions are matched up to 3% of your salary.• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.• Supportive work environment, fostering a healthy work-life balance.• Downtown location, close to the canal with a walking score of 97% and a biking score of 98%.Location:216 Pretoria Avenue, Ottawa, ONHow to Apply:RMA+SH architect has partnered with TerraHR Consulting to fill this position.
