Our client is a Canadian manufacturer of high-quality, sustainable building envelope solutions, specializing in architectural metal systems engineered for long-term performance. Their exterior solutions support durability, energy efficiency, and design intent across commercial, residential, and institutional projects.

We're looking for a strategic, relationship-driven, and architecturally minded professional who is engaging, consultative, and excited to help build long‑term presence in the architectural and design community.

This position is designed to drive early project engagement and specification influence, ensuring building envelope solutions that balance performance, durability, and design intent are considered and specified early in the design phase and transitioned smoothly to sales for execution.

In its early phase, the role will work closely with sales and estimating teams to understand project flow and ensure architectural intent carries through to execution. Over time, the focus will increasingly shift toward upstream architectural engagement, education, and market development.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, consultants, and specification writers.
  • Engage early in projects to influence durable, low‑maintenance exterior building envelope systems.
  • Deliver architectural presentations, lunch‑and‑learns, and design meetings focused on performance, detailing, and lifecycle value.
  • Track projects from concept through design development and support handoff to sales.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales, Inside Sales, and estimating to align early‑stage projects and protect specification intent.
  • Educate sales teams on the architectural channel, specification process, and performance‑driven material selection.
  • Support development of architectural‑focused technical resources and design tools.
  • Represent the company at industry and architectural events.
What We're Looking For
  • 3‑5+ years of experience in architectural sales, specification sales, or business development within building materials or construction.
  • Strong understanding of building envelope systems and exterior assemblies is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documentation.
  • Confident communicator comfortable presenting to design professionals.
  • Collaborative, relationship‑driven approach with experience working alongside sales and estimating teams.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Alberta and some regional travel across Western Canada (30‑40% travel).
Why This Role
  • Newly created position with clear opportunity for growth and expanded responsibility.
  • Opportunity to help shape architectural strategy and long‑term brand presence.
  • Exposure to design‑driven, performance‑focused projects.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and impact.
