Position : Architectural Sales Representative

Location : Calgary, Alberta (Prairies region)

Type : Permanent, Full-time

CGC Inc. is seeking a motivated Architectural Sales Representative to join our Sales team. This role offers an opportunity to demonstrate sales and technical skills in a challenging environment.

Position Summary

Are you interested in applying your design eye, building relationships, and influencing the selection of finishing materials? The Architectural Sales Representative applies design, product, and technical expertise to promote and secure specifications for CGC / USG’s ceiling products. The role involves establishing strong relationships within the construction industry and collaborating effectively with the Sales team, key customers, and industry influencers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales volume, gross profit, and industry position, focusing on ceiling products.
  • Develop relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, owners, construction managers, and general contractors to increase demand for USG products.
  • Track projects in early design stages to influence specifications; update and share information in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support local sales and distribution partners.
  • Promote target products and monitor competitive activity.
  • Travel within the Prairies region; educate staff and customers on product use and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of Architectural or Interior Design Sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Design and technical aptitude.
  • Experience delivering CEU presentations; training provided if needed.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to identify key decision makers and build relationships; industry group participation is expected.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills; bilingual skills are an asset.
  • Physical ability to carry 30 pounds and drive a company vehicle (valid driver’s license required).
