ZAS is currently seeking an Architectural Graduate or Intermediate level Interior Designer to join our Toronto office and grow with us. Our projects are primarily commercial and institutional tenant improvements. For intermediate candidates, we offer opportunities to develop skills in client relationships, team management, site work, and business development.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will contribute to project design development and produce accurate, timely drawings. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, assisting in producing drawings and documents across all project phases, including graphic and presentation work, organization, and filing. Effective communication, organization, and proactive engagement are expected.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited (or equivalent) institution, with a minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in a Canadian architectural office. Experience in tenant improvements and project phases from concept to completion, proficiency in AutoCAD 2018+ and Revit, and a good understanding of Ontario Building Code and Toronto Bylaws are essential. Strong design, graphic, presentation skills, and excellent communication are required. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, with problem-solving skills and self-motivation, is vital. A desire to acquire real-world skills for your career development is also important.

Candidates may be either an Architectural Graduate with a Masters Degree in Architecture or an Interior Designer with a Bachelors in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited institution.
