Join Cuningham as an Architectural Designer I

Cuningham is seeking a talented and passionate Architectural Designer I to join our creative, collaborative team. What You Will Do:
  1. Assist in developing design solutions, coordination, and production efforts across all project phases through an iterative, collaborative process using sketching, 2D/3D modeling, and computational methods.
  2. Explore and support regenerative design approaches for the built, social, and natural environments.
  3. Prepare and assist with design presentations.
  4. Support project development and documentation with creative design and technical detailing.
  5. Coordinate BIM models and documentation internally and with external consultants and contractors.
  6. Participate in construction administration activities, including site observations and verifications.
  7. Proficiently use MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit/BIM 360; engage with Rhino, Enscape, Lumion.
  8. Research exterior materials, products, wall assemblies, waterproofing, and vertical circulation.
  9. Assist with exterior massing studies and interior space planning.
What We Look For:
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in a design-focused role.
  • A degree in architecture or a related discipline.
  • Interest in working across diverse project types and markets.
  • Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization software.
  • Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Curiosity, creativity, growth mindset, and a passion for impactful design.
  • Good time management skills and personal accountability.
  • Ability to create engaging presentations and graphics.
