About Our ClientA well-established architecture firm is offering a great opportunity for a creative and motivated Architectural Designer. The firm has a strong reputation and handles high-quality projects across multi-family, commercial, hospitality, and other sectors.
The JobAs an Architectural Designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a wide range of architectural designs in collaboration with clients and the design team, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence
- Staying updated with current design trends, building systems, and presentation techniques to enhance skills and apply them to projects
- Preparing and coordinating presentation materials to ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation
- Conducting programming, code research, material and building systems research, site surveys, and field reviews, including layout planning and area calculations
- Collaborating with the design and production teams, as well as project leads, to coordinate design through all project phases
Qualifications and ExperienceCandidates should possess:
- A completed post-secondary education related to architecture, such as a Bachelor's in Architecture or a Diploma in Architectural Technology
- At least 6 years of experience in architectural design, with a minimum of 3 years within North America
- An impressive portfolio demonstrating expertise across all design phases
- Proficiency in design and rendering software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop; additional programs are a plus
- Experience in architectural presentation
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hospitality, commercial, residential, or similar projects is preferred
- Ability to coordinate with team members and collaborate across disciplines
