Job Title: L'architecte en chef - CBTC

This role provides expert technical knowledge and leadership to identify, evaluate, and guide communication-based train control systems engineering. The successful candidate will approve complex signaling solutions, perform design, analysis, modeling, and simulation of systems, and develop system characteristics to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical evaluations, gap analysis, and architecture design.
  • Transforming client requirements into concepts, documentation, and analyses.
  • Preparing specifications and operational concepts.
  • Supporting proposals and presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards are met throughout design processes.
  • Leading and mentoring engineering teams, managing risks, and promoting process improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (Systems, Electrical, Computer Science) or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years in software-based system application development.
  • Expertise in urban railway signaling systems (URS), minimum 7 years, especially in CBTC.
  • At least 8 years managing technical teams.
  • Strong planning, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DOORS, Polarion, Melody Advance, or similar tools.
  • Deep knowledge of automated train control systems and system engineering principles.
  • Experience developing and reviewing test scenarios and procedures.
  • Knowledge of railway signaling and communication-based train control.
  • Experience in project scope management and product selling/delivering to clients with varying system knowledge.
