Job summary

Airbus Canada Limited Partnership in Mirabel, QC, seeks an autoflight systems design professional to join the avionics systems team. You will design and integrate advanced autoflight solutions for the A220 aircraft, collaborating across disciplines to meet certification and safety standards.

The role requires 8+ years in embedded avionics software, MBSE, and DevOps tools, with strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Aerospace, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in embedded avionics software design.
• Strong mastery of avionics systems including guidance, autopilot, and autothrottle.
• Solid understanding of avionics architecture and MBSE.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins.
• Experience in Agile (Scrum) teams and Engineering Change Management.
• Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-331, ARP4754A and related industry standards.
• English fluency and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate the next generation of A220 autoflight systems.
• Generate requirements based on industry standards and system concepts.
• Perform software design and modeling from requirements; debug in simulation.
• Assist in writing and reviewing test objectives and technical reports.
• Analyze issues on test benches and simulations and develop solutions.
• Prepare work estimates and support scheduling and project planning.
