Job summary

CGI in Canada is seeking a Senior SAP Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end SAP architecture across major ERP transformation programs. You will ensure end-to-end solution consistency, alignment with Clean Core principles, and integration with third-party solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in ERP/SAP, 5+ years as an architect, and fluency in French and English. You will guide design workshops, oversee data migration, and work with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and APIs from within Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of ERP/SAP implementation experience.
• Minimum 5 years in SAP Solution Architect or SAP Application Architect roles.
• Significant experience with SAP S/4HANA and end-to-end integrated solutions.
• Participation in at least 3 major SAP implementation/transformation projects in the last 10 years.
• Experience in complex SAP environments with multiple domains and integrated systems.
• Experience integrating SAP with third-party applications.
• Cloud, integration, data, and security architecture knowledge.
• Ability to defend architecture decisions with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Proficiency in communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Work must be performed from within Canada.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the end to end SAP application architecture.
• Lead SAP solution design activities and ensure consistency across functional domains.
• Ensure adherence to SAP Clean Core, Fit to Standard, and best practices.
• Design integration architecture with external systems using SAP BTP and APIs.
• Govern decisions related to interfaces, extensions, and developments.
• Define and oversee the data migration approach.
• Ensure alignment across functional, application, technical, data, security, and integration architectures.
• Collaborate with the implementation team and lead client design workshops.
• Identify architecture risks and mitigate appropriately.
• Challenge requirements to minimize complexity and unnecessary customizations.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable solution decisions aligned with SAP roadmap.
• Contribute to QA, deployment readiness, and knowledge transfer.
• Act as SAP architecture authority for project teams, clients, and partners.

The Architect will play a central role in the design and evolution of the target SAP architecture. They will ensure end to end solution consistency, alignment with Clean Core principles, integration with third party solutions, and the quality of architecture decisions throughout the program.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Define and maintain the end to end SAP application architecture.
• Lead SAP solution design activities and ensure consistency across the various functional domains.
• Ensure adherence to SAP Clean Core, Fit to Standard, and SAP best practices.
• Design the integration architecture with external systems and platforms, particularly using SAP BTP and APIs.
• Govern decisions related to interfaces, extensions, and developments.
• Define and oversee the data migration approach.
• Ensure alignment across functional, application, technical, data, security, and integration architectures.
• Work closely with the implementation team.
• Lead and participate in client design workshops and architecture reviews.
• Identify architecture risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Challenge requirements and proposed solutions to minimize complexity and unnecessary customizations.
• Ensure that solution decisions remain scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the SAP roadmap.
• Contribute to quality assurance, testing, deployment readiness, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Act as the SAP architecture authority for project teams, clients, and technology partners.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Mandatory Requirements

• Professional fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
• University degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience implementing and transforming ERP/SAP solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an SAP Solution Architect or SAP Application Architect role.
• Significant experience with SAP S/4HANA, including the design of end to end integrated solutions.
• Participation in at least 3 major SAP implementation or transformation projects within the last 10 years.
• Demonstrated experience working in complex SAP environments involving multiple functional domains and integrated systems.
• Strong understanding of integrated business processes and their interaction with the technology architecture.
• Experience integrating SAP solutions with third party applications.
• Experience with cloud, integration, data, and security architecture principles.
• Demonstrated ability to make and defend architecture decisions with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
• Services under the engagement must be performed from within Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition / RISE with SAP.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, APIs, and side by side extensions.
• Experience applying Clean Core and Fit to Standard principles.
• Experience with SAP Finance, Project System / EPPM, Procurement/Ariba, or SuccessFactors.
• Experience integrating SAP with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, payroll systems, or enterprise asset management solutions.
• Experience in the public sector, infrastructure, or highly regulated organizations.
• Relevant SAP certification.
• Experience delivering large scale SAP transformation programs involving multiple teams and vendors.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 -$120,000.This role is an existing vacancy.
