Location: Markham, Ont.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (Onsite)

Hours: 24 hours/week (8 hours/day)

Duration: 6-Month Contract with potential for extension and or hire

Salary: $75 hr

About The Role

Our client currently are seeking for a Senior Network Technician with hands-on experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switching and have contributed to the design and buildout of network environments.

What You Will Do

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches.
• Assist in building, scaling, and optimizing secure and resilient networks.
• Conduct performance monitoring, tuning, and regular health checks.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior network support role.
• Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls (policies, VPNs, security profiles).
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco switches (configuration, VLANs, routing).
• Experience participating in network design and deployment projects.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently during onsite shifts.
• Plus: Knowledge of Ubiquity: FW, Switches, and AP
