Join Our Team at Purcell Timber Frame Homes

At Purcell Timber Frame Homes, we specialize in designing and pre-fabricating luxury mountain and waterfront homes with a focus on craftsmanship and timeless design. We are looking for a talented Residential Home Designer or Architect to bring creative vision and technical expertise to our team.

About the Role:

As part of our design team, you'll work closely with clients to transform their ideas into exceptionally crafted homes. The ideal candidate excels in conceptual design, including site planning, floor plans, and exterior and interior renderings. Must also have strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both clients and our in-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop site plans, floor plans, and 3D renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp or Revit.
  2. Collaborate with clients to refine their design vision and ensure a seamless creative process.
  3. Work closely with our in-house design and production teams to develop buildable, well-crafted homes.
  4. Ensure designs align with construction feasibility and client expectations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent experience/certifications.
  2. 3+ years of experience in residential architecture or construction.
  3. Strong organizational, creative, and presentation skills.
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit.

Location & Work Flexibility:

Our headquarters is based in Nelson, British Columbia, but this position is open to remote candidates who can collaborate effectively in a virtual work environment.
