Job summary

MDA is seeking an Architect – Flight Software to lead the architecture, design, development and technical direction of embedded flight software for space applications, including satellite systems and On-Board Computers (OBC).

You will define and develop software architecture for embedded flight software, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and work with RTOS platforms including RTEMS to deliver reliable space-grade software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, with significant experience in software architecture.
• Proven experience designing embedded software architectures.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Strong experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS); RTEMS experience is strongly preferred.
