Job description

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an architect at the following locations: Tampa, FL; Georgia; Nashville, TN; Lexington, SC; or Charleston, SC. This position would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for federal defense and/or laboratory projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members
• Working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners
• Assisting the Project Architect with coordinating and leading project teams
• Building and maintaining strong team relationships
• Executing project workplans
• Scheduling and facilitating team meetings
• Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

A valid driver's license is required. As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate must have all the following:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in architecture from an accredited college or university
• At least 7 years of relevant experience
• Current architectural license in the state office is located

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

• Experience preparing deliverables for each stage of project development for federal defense or laboratory facilities
• Experience providing bidding and construction administration phase services for federal defense or laboratory facilities
• LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
• NCARB-Certified
• Experience with state and local government projects
• Experience with aviation facility projects is a plus
