Qualifications

Irvin Heritage Inc. is an archaeological consultancy based in Newmarket, serving all of Southern Ontario. We conduct all stages of archaeological assessment and provide guidance and project management related to the mitigation and management of archaeological resources. Our team members are expected to understand the full scope of the provincial archaeological process.

We are seeking experienced archaeological field directors and welcome energetic new licensees to apply.

Requirements:
  • Applied Research License from Ontario's Ministry of Citizenship & Multiculturalism
  • Thorough practical knowledge of Ontario's Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists and related Bulletins
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to various work locations daily
  • Willingness to stay overnight for up to 5 days at a time (hotel accommodations and per diem provided)
  • Physical ability to work in outdoor conditions
We Offer:
  • Competitive wages starting at $30.00/hr+ based on experience and performance
  • Mileage reimbursement when company vehicles are unavailable

Position Details:

The Field Director role is full-time, full-year, and salary-based. Promotion opportunities are reviewed quarterly.
