Job description

Pay Rate: $18- $30/hr dependent on experience and certifications. Paid bi-weekly with direct deposit.

About Us:

Trusty Tree Services is a locally employee-owned and operated company based in Sherwood Park, serving the Edmonton Area since 2017. We provide services such as tree pruning, tree removals, tree & shrub planting, hazard assessments, stump grinding, brush chipping, landscaping, and more. We are seeking an Arborist Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to support individual and company goals. We have our own shop, ample yard space, good equipment, and gear. We are looking for someone for immediate hire who can join a crew and start working right away. We offer competitive wages, overtime, and benefits! Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Minimum 1 year experience in the Tree Service industry preferred but not required.
  2. Able-bodied to perform demanding, repetitive motions (walking, bending, lifting). This is a physically demanding role.
  3. Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic, and good communication skills with clients.
  4. Must own a working cell phone capable of downloading apps.
  5. Steel-toed boots are required. Safety gear such as hi-vis shirts and coats are supplied.
  6. Attend daily tailgate meetings.
  7. Assist arborists with tree and shrub pruning, tree removals, rigging, brush chipping, and hazard assessment.
  8. Prepare and maintain tree and forestry equipment and gear.
  9. Operate equipment and vehicles safely.
  10. Maintain gear and equipment regularly.
  11. Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards through regular checks and safety meetings.
